The first of the 24 Solar Terms. Not yet warm but no longer cold.

This skein was designed around that threshold: pale aqua meets blossom-white, with washes of peach and soft yellow. Rust-orange appears only in traces — new things begin in small, brave moments.

In the ancient Chinese calendar, Start of Spring was met with ceremony: the emperor led officials out to "welcome" the new season. The folk custom of biting into spring radishes was said to bite away the cold.
